London’s Broomstick started as a website on purpose. A storefront is coming, but I wanted the tea to be right and the people to already be here before there was a door to walk through.
Where we are now
Every tin on the menu is blended, weighed, and packed by hand, and we send orders out by post. The pet menu started as a way to help my own cat and turned into one of the most requested parts of the shop, which tells you something about the people who found us.
What comes next
- Pastries, baked to go alongside the blends rather than as an afterthought.
- Tinctures and holistic remedies, once every last label is exactly right.
- A community forum, so the tea questions I answer by email can be answered where everyone can read them.
- The storefront itself, with a long counter and far too many plants.
A cafe is a room where people talk. The tea is just the reason to sit down.
What the counter will look like
Glass jars along the back wall, labeled by hand. A greenhouse full of light. Somewhere for a dog to lie down. Until then, this site is the shop, and honestly, it has been a lovely place to start.
